On Labels

We love labels; they fulfill our need to for certainty. And certainty feels more “certain” when labels are opposites in nature, like good/bad, right/wrong, happy/sad, love/hate. Although we believe we find comfort in a label, doing so denies us the richness of the space between. And most of life is “between.” Embracing both rather than either/or requires conscious awareness, which for some, seems just so much “work.”
